NPR : National Public Radio

NPR (that stands for National Public Radio) is a non-profit radio station and media organization with an informative and educational intent. Its content is available via online live streams and podcasts and nationwide through the over 1000 public radio stations to which it serves as a national syndicator.

Despite its non-profit status, it stands out as a public radio network as it was established by an act of Congress and the majority of the radio stations belong to its syndicated network belong to government entities.

NPR is home to many of the most popular and listened-to radio programs in the USA as well as some of the most renowned news correspondents. Nina Totenberg (legal affairs correspondent), Avesha Rascoe (White House Reporter), Eleanor Beardsley (Europe/France correspondent), Sylvia Poggioli (Europe/Italy correspondent), Susan Stamberg (special correspondent), and Franco Ordoñez (White House correspondent) are only examples of well-known name to the US and global audiences.

Following its code of ethics, the station endeavors to offer unbiased political commentary and analysis and independent news reports.
